Crime and Public Safety
I cover crime and public safety, which means no two days — or breaking news alerts — ever look quite the same. I report on everything from major court cases and police investigations to fires, crashes and the stories unfolding in communities after the sirens fade. But I’m always looking beyond the police report to find the people behind the headlines and understand how these moments affect real lives. I believe even the fastest-moving breaking news deserves curiosity, context and a little heart.

Covering Stories that Matter
I’m a journalist and storyteller with a curiosity that has taken me across beats, communities and publications. A native of Alton, Illinois, just outside of St. Louis, I’ve built my career telling stories that inform people while still making them feelsomething. Whether I’m covering breaking news, digging into a community issue or telling a deeply personal story, I’m always searching for the human voice behind the headline. My reporting blends thoughtful perspective, vivid storytelling and a genuine interest in the people who make every story worth telling.
